Over a span of nearly a
decade, SIDCO has continued to help preserve North Carolina's submerged
cultural resources and to assist state agencies with resources management.
Because we are a volunteer team, our expenses are not near what a
professional team would cost on the average project, yet our work
continues to equal that of the professional archaeological community and
we are very proud of that. However, it cost about $800 a day for us to
operate in the field, and one hour in the field equals 5 hours in the office.
Our corporate sponsors continue to
provide equipment and supplies on a nearly weekly basis, but, in this day when we don't know where our
next tank of air is coming from... we still
need
YOU
to help out with your tax deductible donations.

Things
we need to keep going...
25' or
larger travel or camper trailer- We BADLY need a large travel
trailer to convert in to a field office to support our work on
Ocracoke Island. This is a PRIMARY NEED! If we are to
continue our work at Ocracoke Inlet we must find this item!
- Several
16 to 24 ft Skimmers or
Carolina Skiffs -Please see the boat donors page to see the
support vessels we have planned.
- We have long needed a
long pontoon boat, just the boat and a trailer, we already
have an engine, a 50HP Yamaha (just donated...). We have no need
of the fancy seating or frills, just a sturdy boat about 21-24'
long and a good trailer.
- P2 or above Laptop
or desktop computer- We BADLY need P2 laptop computers! We
just got one, we need one more... Thank you, donor!!!

Underwater Communication
gear- This one is for the commercial divers who have old gear
that you want to get rid of. We can offer a tax deduction for
that old gear... and maybe get you out on the site(s) with
us...!

just donated a topside unit, but we still need compatable diver
units... Thank You, OTS!

- ATVs- We
are in DESPERATE need of 4-wheelers, quads or even 3-wheelers!
We cannot complete the Core Banks Beach Wreck work without them!
Please think about us when it is time for a trade-in or if you
are a dealer with overstock... we'll take anything from 120cc on
up! Imagine your company logo seen on the unit gas tanks in the
documentaries we have in the works!
